“The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India, and UNICEF India cordially invite you to a dinner event on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
The event will be an occasion to interact with representatives of the MDWS and UNICEF on the preparation of a first-of-its kind global sanitation convention and about the plans to commence the 150th birth anniversary year celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, 2018.
The Ministry is organizing the Mahatma Gandhi International Sanitation Convention (MGISC) from September 29 till October 2, 2018 in New Delhi. This convention aims to bring together sectoral ministers and other leaders from over 50 countries around the world in order to both showcase India’s progress and learn about best WASH practices across the globe. The dinner event will include more details on MGISC and its guests of honor, the achievements realized through the ‘jan andolan’ efforts of the past four years in support of Swachh Bharat Mission, and an opportunity to interact with the representatives.
